What we do and roughly what it costs

The prices are there to give you an idea, including the unit and installation. The final price comes from the visit, which is free, and you get it in writing before we touch anything.

Air conditioning installation

One unit inside and one outside, for cooling and heating. If you’re not sure how much power you need, the calculator works it out room by room.

Fault repairs

Not cooling, dripping, noisy or switching itself off. We come out and tell you what’s wrong before touching it, and whether it’s worth fixing.

Leaks and re-gassing

If it cools a little less every summer, it’s almost always a leak. First you find it and fix it: re-gassing without fixing the leak means paying twice.

Maintenance

Cleaning, refrigerant and drain checks once or twice a year. A serviced unit cools just as well for less, and won’t give up in August.

Removal and relocation

If you’re moving or having work done: we pump the refrigerant down into the outdoor unit, take everything down without losing any and refit it wherever it needs to go.

Heat pump heating

Winters in L’Horta Nord are mild, and a heat pump split is usually enough for a flat. For the same heat it uses about a quarter of the electricity of an electric radiator.

02.2 Communities and businesses

Bars, shops, offices and communities of owners

In a business the air con can’t stop in August and the shutters can’t stay down for a week of works. So we go about it differently.

Work outside opening hours. On your closing Monday or first thing in the morning, without losing a day’s takings.
Units away from the street. On the roof or in the light well, where they don’t bother the neighbours.
The façade belongs to the community. We’ll tell you what to ask the building administrator before anything goes up.
Business plan. Check-ups to suit your units and same-day call-outs in season.

Split, multi-split, ducted or cassette

All four cool and heat equally well. What changes is how much work they need, how visible they are and how much you hear them.

02.5 Installation day

One split, from eight till three

This is how a normal fitting day goes. By three, your air con is running and the house is tidy.
