05 Maintenance
A check-up in May costs less than a repair in August A check-up in October costs less than a repair in January
In July the work piles up and parts take ages. A unit serviced in spring cools just as well for less, and won’t pack up the weekend the in-laws come to stay. When the first cold snap comes, everyone switches on at once. A unit serviced in autumn heats from day one, with no musty smell and no nasty surprises.
05.1 Plans
Pick a plan and how many units you have
Each split counts as one unit; for a multi-split, count each indoor unit.

Guide prices including VAT, for units in homes or businesses with normal access. If scaffolding or a crane is needed, we adjust it at the visit.

05.3 A check-up, part by part
What we work on inside the unit
It’s the part you can’t see from the sofa, and the one that decides whether the unit wastes power, drips or smells.
- Filter. We wash and dry it. When it’s dirty, air gets through less easily and the motor works harder.
- Coil. Foam clean and rinse: this is where the air gets cooled.
- Tray. Water collects here; if it sits, you get mould and smells.
- Board and sensors. Tight connections and correct readings.
- Drain. We check it clears properly: it’s behind nearly every leak.
- Fan. The barrel fan picks up the most dirt and smells the most.
05.4 Reminder
Let your calendar remind you
Pencil in the check-up for the first week of May, before the heat starts. Pencil in the check-up for the first week of October, before the first cold.
The reminder includes our phone number and email, so you can book with one tap.
A dirty filter gives no warning. The air still comes out, but the unit works harder and the bill creeps up without you noticing.
