When’s your ITV due?
Enter the first registration date and you’ll see the exact day of your ITV (Spain’s MOT), how many days are left and how often it’s due from now on.
The calculator needs JavaScript. The general rule for cars: first at 4 years, then every 2, and every year from 10.

Each section is the gap between inspections. It assumes the earlier ones were done on time: if one was late, the date runs from that day. Check the ITV card or the windscreen sticker.

02The rule
How often it’s due
General intervals for vehicles in private use.
Taxis, driving-school cars, hire cars, school transport and historic or modified vehicles have different rules. If yours is one of those, give us a call and we’ll look at it with you.
| Vehicle | First | Later |
|---|---|---|
| Car | at 4 years | every 2 years; yearly from 10 |
| Motorbike | at 4 years | every 2 years |
| Moped | at 3 years | every 2 years |
| Van up to 3,500 kg | at 2 years | every 2 years up to 6; yearly up to 10; then every 6 months |
You can go up to 30 days early without losing your date: the next one runs from the due date, not from the day you pass.

The three possible results
Favorable — pass
You get a new sticker on the windscreen, and that’s it until next time. If they note minor defects, it’s worth fixing them.
Negativa — off the road
There’s a dangerous defect. The car can’t be driven until it’s repaired.
